The word for today is wine. I started by creating the icon below. I think it looks more like a chalice than a wine glass, and it's also too thick to match with the other illustrations that I have created.
I then tried to add a kind of 3D affect. I think this looks even more like a chalice and is therefore unsuccessful, and again it doesn't really fit with any of the other icons that I have created due to the fact the icons I have created are 2D.
I then made the glass taller. This now looks like a wine glass and fits the brief.
I then added colour to show how it would look if it were used.
